Working outside of the normal confines of an organisation brings both freedom and challenges. Over the last months I've met many people who, like me, experienced both the highs and the lows of being a free-worker. And at the end of last year I met an old friend Alex Butler who had a great idea for bringing together fellow free-workers. She called it KindredHQ, and we spent the last 3 months developing the project which is initially based around the kindredhq.com site.

It's a really fun and inspirational project to be a part of, and we've got big plans for taking it beyond just a website into events, training and partnerships.
